FANSHOES has teamed up with a non-profit organization, Soles4Souls, to donate extra inventory that is in the FANSHOES warehouse. The donation will occur Wednesday, July 21, 2010.

FANSHOES has chosen to send the shoes to Haiti because of the hardships that the country endured during and after the earthquake in the beginning of 2010. A natural disaster of this magnitude has devastating effects far and wide, affecting even the most minute detail, like the ability to find and afford footwear.

The shoes will help bring light to a country still in ruins. The new shoes will help the communities of Haiti grow and build from a simple pair of shoes. FANSHOES is putting the Soles4Souls motto of “changing the world, one pair at a time” into action.

We encourage other companies, organizations and churches to get involved with Soles4Souls and donate new or gently used shoes to those in need.

Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like you.  We distribute these shoes, free of charge, to people in need around the world.  You can visit their website and view all the great things they do by clicking here.

In June we mentioned that we were interviewed by a local start-up news company based in Rochester called Generation News.  Well, their production team has had enough time to edit all the footage together and our video interview is now the featured story on their homepage.  Check it out!
